Moore League Girls’ Water Polo Preview

The562’s season previews for the 2022-23 school year are sponsored by Vertical Raise, the official team fundraising partner of The562.

The562’s coverage of water polo & swimming is sponsored by the Aquatic Capital of America Foundation.

Across the board last season, Moore League girls’ water polo teams relied heavily on young talent. Looking over the All-League list from a year ago, you’ll see that only nine of the 24 honorees were seniors, meaning there will be a lot of familiar faces back in the pool this season.

The Wilson Bruins cruised to a fourth consecutive league title last year, led by Moore League Player of the Year Maya O’Dea (pictured), and the Bruins should be loaded once again. Can one of the challengers pose a threat to Wilson this year? And which teams could be poised for a playoff run in their division? Let’s take a look around the league to see how things are stacking up for Moore League girls’ water polo.
