The562 is excited to announce that Vertical Raise is now our official team fundraising partner for the 2022-2023 school year. In addition, Vertical Raise will be sponsoring all of The562’s season previews for the upcoming school year.
Vertical Raise helps high school teams easily raise much-needed funds for their season with their premium online donation platform. Leading the charge for Vertical Raise is Mike Callin, a Long Beach native for over 20 years with deep ties in the community from his previous work for the Dirtbags, Long Beach Armada and local youth leagues.
“I’m honored to join The562’s mission to support local high school sports and help teams raise much needed funds for their seasons,” said Callin of the partnership. “Long Beach really is a very special community where we all work together to support each other and I’m glad I can do my part.”
This past year, Vertical Raise helped generate millions of dollars in donations for local teams, and the organization has received a number of endorsements from head coaches at several Long Beach schools.
“Hands down, Vertical Raise has been the best fundraising opportunity for Millikan Wrestling,” said Millikan wrestling coach Blake Lovato. “Mike and their team have worked with us for several years, providing an almost effortless way to fundraise during the season, allowing the team to focus on competition.”
“Vertical Raise has been a great fundraiser for the Long Beach Wilson Track & Field team for the last two years,” said Wilson head girls’ track & field coach Neil Nelson. “It is one of the easiest & fastest fundraisers we do all year and is very successful for our team. Our rep Mike is the absolute best at getting the kids started and supporting the entire campaign.”
Recently, Long Beach State Athletics has also selected Vertical Raise to support their fundraising efforts for the upcoming year. Vertical Raise also supports other extracurricular programs like music, dance, cheer and club sports.
Vertical Raise is the latest addition to a growing list of sponsors of The562’s nonprofit journalism. If you or your business would like to sponsor The562’s award-winning coverage, email Tyler Hendrickson at Tyler@The562.org.
