Basketball St. Anthony

PREVIEW: St. Anthony Basketball Programs Hoping to Repeat Championship History

The St. Anthony boys’ and girls’ basketball teams are hoping that CIF Southern Section championship history repeats itself this evening at Azusa Pacific. Both teams will play for the Division 2AA championship as the girls face Moreno Valley at 6 p.m. and the boys face Rolling Hills Prep at 8 p.m.

We’re just about at the 24 year anniversary of the last time both Saints teams made the CIF-SS Finals–a historic 2000 season that will live forever in St. Anthony lore. The girls beat Pacific Hills in a laugher at the Walter Pyramid 65-37 while the boys defeated Calvary Chapel 61-57 at LMU.

We’ll have live updates and full coverage of both of tonight’s games.
