The562’s high school softball coverage for the 2023 season is sponsored by Long Beach City Councilwoman Megan Kerr.

Long Beach softball is on the rise once again as Moore League frontrunners Millikan are coming off a CIF Championship appearance, and St. Anthony is coming off a CIF State championship.

The Rams and Saints are once again favorites in their respective leagues, but the rest of the city has some exciting young talent that could change the local landscape.

We had some crazy games to cover last year, and with all the new lineups around town, we could get surprised a lot again this season.
