Moore League boys’ soccer has been a battle between old rivals Wilson and Long Beach Poly over the past few years, and that’s why they’re the only local teams in CIF Southern Section Division 1/2 this season.
However, there’s plenty of talent throughout Long Beach to give the frontrunners a challenge.
“Our league is different, anyone can beat or tie anyone, so it’s the team that can navigate game by game and escape those close games that will win,” Wilson coach CJ Brewer said.
