Wilson boys’ lacrosse beat visiting Segerstrom on Monday, 11-8 to stay undefeated. John Legaspi made 17 saves for the Bruins, and Malachi Valenzuela-Mier scored a hat trick. Charley Littleworth, Alex Johnson and Kyle Paz each scored two goals. Wilson hosts Ellen Ochoa on April 9 at 3:15 p.m.
Lakewood senior Randy Gonzalez Jr. competed at the National High School Coaches Association National Events in Virginia over the weekend, and placed third in the nation while earning All-American honors. St. Anthony boys’ golf stayed undefeated with a 209-272 league win over Bishop Montgomery on Monday at Lakewood Country Club. Sophomore Taylor Griffiths and senior Alex Palacio led the Saints with 3-over rounds of 39 to share the medalist honor. St. Anthony (7-0, 2-0) takes on Salesian at Whittier Narrows Golf Course today.
