HIGH SCHOOL
Ariel Willard, Compton Flag Football
Ariel Willard was crucial on both sides of the ball in Compton’s huge win over Millikan. The sophomore recorded two touchdowns and two interceptions to help the Tarbabes force a three-way tie for first place in the Moore League.
Samson Casem, Wilson Boys’ Water Polo
Samson Casem had a good week in the water for Wilson. The senior attacker scored a hat trick against the Millikan Rams and opened up the scoring in the Bruins’ win over Los Al.
Simrin Adams, Wilson Girls’ Volleyball
Simrin Adams had a huge game in Wilson’s win over Millikan. The Stanford commit recorded a match-high 19 kills in the Bruins’ four-set victory against the Rams.
Jonah Tuaniga, Millikan Football
Jonah Tuaniga continued to shine as Millikan’s quarterback in their win over Jordan. The freshman finished the night with over 300 yards of total offense, throwing four touchdowns and tacking on two more through the ground.
COLLEGE
Madalyn Barley, LBCC Women’s Water Polo
The No. 1 Vikings used a dominant win over East Los Angeles to improve to 15-0 overall and 3-0 in South Coast Conference play. Barley powered her team’s offense during this victory with six goals and two assists.
Pamela Badillo, LBSU Women’s Tennis
Pamela Badillo had a strong showing at the Big West Fall Tournament to kick off the 2025-26 tennis season. The sophomore went 6-0 at the tournament to claim the singles championship.
Logan King, LBSU Women’s Volleyball
Logan King had a historic week with the Beach. The freshman recorded a career-high 21 kills in Long Beach’s 3-1 win over Cal Poly, while also posting 14 kills against UCSB. King also notched eight digs, four blocks and four assists in the game vs. Cal Poly while recording her fifth double-double of the season against the Gauchos with her 14 kills and 10 digs.
Natalie Arnold, LBSU Women’s Soccer
The Beach are on an unbeaten streak which was highlighted by a Big West win over UC Riverside. Sophomore defender Natalie Arnold scored two goals in Long Beach’s 3-0 win.
