The Lakewood girls’ basketball team is going to its first-ever CIF-SS championship next week after knocking off Santa Margarita on the road in the Division 2A semifinals, 60-54.

The Lancers were led as they have been all year long by Nyemah King (28 points) and Cristina Jones (25 points). 

The Lancers advance to next week’s championship game, where they’ll face the winner of Louisville and Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, who play Saturday evening. Time, date, and location of the championship game will be revealed on Monday.
