For the Fridge: Los Altos 11s Win Cal Ripken State Tournament

The Los Altos All-Star 11 year-olds won the Cal Ripken State Tournament two weekends ago in Simi Valley, punching their ticket to the regionals in Fallon, NV this week. The Los Altos program at El Dorado Park had a banner year for Cal Ripken State qualifying, as the LAYBS 8s, 9s, 10s, 11s, and 12s all qualified through to the Cal Ripken Regional Tournaments beginning on July 16.

The 8s will compete in Rohnert Park, CA while the 9s are in Tulare, CA, the 10s are in Taylorsville, UT, the 11s in Fallon, NV, and the 12s in Kingsburg, CA.

There, the Long Beach kids will take on the best teams from California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Hawaii, and Guam.

The 11s Los Altos team is made up of players Carlon Parrott, Luke Schuchardt, Kash Ziegenhagen, Dane Heneise, Liam Covey, Isaac Mascaro, Gunnar Wells, Talon Hunt, Devon Tobin, Chris Mulcahy, Roosevelt Washington, and Cooper Cordero. The team’s manager is Aaron Mascaro with assistant coaches Michael Covey, Roosevelt Washington, and Mark Wells.
