The top-seeded Wilson Bruins advanced to the semifinals of the CIF-SS Division 4 Boys’ Tennis bracket with a convincing 13-5 win over Thacher on Monday afternoon. Wilson went an impressive 8-1 in doubles action, as the pairs of freshmen Daniel Gerstrer and Filip Surdran, plus the doubles team of senior Zane Driskill and sophomore Mateo Matta each swept their three matches on the day.
The Bruins will travel to El Segundo High on Wednesday for a semifinal matchup with a spot in Friday’s CIF finals up for grabs.
