Long Beach Poly senior captain Misha Hebert scored the game-winning goal at La Mirada on Wednesday night to lift the Jackrabbits to a 2-1 victory in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 2 playoffs.

Poly (10-5-2) advances to the second round and will host Claremont on Friday.

Sophomore Aaya McLyn put the Jackrabbits ahead in the first half with a goal that made it 1-0 at halftime. La Mirada scored the equalizer in the second half, but then sophomore Sydney Santos found Hebert for the game-winner.
