The562 is pleased to announce that our coverage of Long Beach Poly for the 2022-23 school year will be sponsored by Jackrabbit alum and current Kansas City Chief JuJu Smith-Schuster, as well as the JuJu Foundation. Smith-Schuster and the JuJu Foundation join his former teammate at Poly Jayon Brown in sponsoring our coverage .
Smith-Schuster graduated from Poly in 2014 after winning a CIF-SS title in 2012, and was a standout at USC before being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now in his sixth season, Smith-Schuster is making his debut with the Chiefs. The JuJu Foundation is a non-profit foundation that support a number of charities.
“Mike, JJ, and Tyler have been covering JuJu for a decade since he arrived at Poly as a star freshman,” said The562.org publisher Andy Kerr. “I know it means the world to them and to our organization to have his support and the support of his wonderful family in our efforts to keep shining a light on Long Beach kids.”
The sponsorship will support The562’s Poly coverage with articles, photos, videos, feature stories, and more.
“They’ve been doing great highlights and coverage for the longest time,” said Smith-Schuster. “We all want to make sure they can keep doing it.”
