Support The562 For Long Beach Gives Day 2021

The562 is thrilled to participate in its second annual Long Beach Gives–an annual day of giving for local nonprofits. Early giving started on Sept. 17 and will remain open throughout Long Beach Gives Day, Thursday Sept. 23.

All donations made to the more than 200 participating nonprofits are fully tax-deductible, and go towards causes focused in the Long Beach community. Long Beach Gives provides incentives and bonuses to participating nonprofits, so it’s the perfect time to donate to maximize your impact. Plus, longtime supporter and The562 board member Marilyn Bohl has offered to match the first $5,000 raised for this year’s fundraiser. That means every dollar you give will instantly be doubled!

The562 is in its fourth year providing nonprofit journalism to the city of Long Beach at no cost to our readers. We are a community-funded news organization, aided by the support of our loyal Patreon subscribers, our content partners and sponsors, along with the readers who support our recurring fundraisers.

We simply would not exist without the support of the community, and Long Beach Gives is the perfect day to show your support for the organizations that make Long Beach such a special place to leave. We hope you’ll consider supporting The562 today and every day as we provide award-winning sports and education reporting to the best city in the world!

Help us continue bringing you the breaking news stories, in-depth features, game recaps, highlight videos, photo galleries, podcasts and more. We love telling Long Beach’s stories, but we need your support to keep doing it!
