Support The562 During Long Beach Gives Day!

As we announced back in May, The562 is thrilled to be included in the annual Long Beach Gives fundraiser. We’re fortunate to be among the 150+ non-profits who will be working together to raise both awareness and funding for important causes and organizations around our community. Long Beach Gives Day is a full 24 hours of giving on Thursday, September 24, 2020, with the goal of raising $1 million for Long Beach’s non-profit organizations.

SUPPORT THE562

On this day, we turn to the community and ask for your support in funding our mission of providing reliable, award-winning sports and education reporting to the city of Long Beach. This is an important day for fundraising, and we hope everyone can chip in–with a donation, a retweet, a share, or any other way to help us spread the word.

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve secured a total of $1,5000 in challenge funds, thanks to the generous support of Marilyn Bohl, along with Andy and Megan Kerr. That means any donation you make will be matched dollar-for-dollar, for the first $1,500 of donations. That means your contribution will go twice as far today, and is still completely tax-deductible!

We’re also excited to offer the following prizes, which will be given to three of our donors, selected at random:

  • $50 Gift Card to Naples Rib Company
  • Exclusive 562 merch bag including a t-shirt, stickers & buttons
  • One FREE item (past or present) from the Long Beach LTD collection

To win one of the prizes above, donate to The562 on our Long Beach Gives page. (Minimum $5 donation) Also, please post a receipt of your contribution, so your friends and family will know that you support local journalism in Long Beach! Thank you for your generous, unwavering support. We love you!
