The Long Beach PONY youth baseball program is back and hosting the 13U All-Star Super Region tournament at Whaley Park. Heartwell, Simi Valley, La Quinta, Costa Mesa, Sierra Madre, La Jolla and Newbury Park have all come to Long Beach to compete in the first PONY tournament since 2019.
After splitting their two games against each other, Long Beach and Heartwell have already qualified for the next round and will be joined by La Quinta and Sierra Madre in advancing to the Zone tournament later this week in West Hills. The winner of Zone will advance to the World Series in Modesto.
