High School Football Preview: Jordan vs. Compton

Coming off their first win of the shortened season, Calvin Bryant’s Compton Tarbabes (1-3) will look to end the year with back-to-back victories when they visit J-Town tonight at 7 p.m.

Jordan, meanwhile, will be looking to close out the season with their first win, taking on just their second opponent. The Panthers have only played Wilson this year, going 0-2 against the Bruins. It will also be Senior Night in J-Town for the handful of 12th graders on the young Jordan roster.

The Tarbabes will of course lean on their running game and big offensive line, which helped guide running back Deon Johnson to 182 yards and two touchdowns in last Friday’s 34-21 win over Lakewood.

Last season’s meeting between these two teams was an exciting one, with Compton taking a 13-0 lead into halftime before Jordan scored 20 unanswered points in the second half to earn the win.
