Moore League Boys’ Soccer: Long Beach Poly, Cabrillo Move Up Standings

The draw at Jordan and Long Beach Poly’s win at Lakewood means the Moore League boys’ championship will be decided on the last day of the regular season.

Millikan 1, Jordan 1
The Rams got a 60th minute equalizer from senior Jeremiya Showe to salvage a point on the road. Jose Lopez gave the Panthers a lead. Jordan is 3-2-0 at home this season.

Long Beach Poly 1, Lakewood 0
Sophomore Luke Brown found junior Nate Goodman five minutes after halftime for the only goal of the game. Poly goalkeepers Griffin Welch and Matt McCoy combined for the shutout.

Cabrillo 3, Compton 0
The Jaguars got two goals from senior Derek Chan off corner kicks served up by senior Jovany Jimenez and sophomore Carlos Martinez. Junior Ruben Mancia capped the scoring in the first half. This regular season finale for Cabrillo is the eighth clean sheet for senior goalkeeper Yancy Monterolla.
