HIGH SCHOOL

Nehemiah Condon, Jordan Football

Jordan is 3-0 for the first time since 2008 thanks to a 20-13 win over Norwalk on Friday. Playmaker Nehemiah Condon had a big part in that victory, thanks to a thrilling 85-yard touchdown reception that saw him break three tackles en route to scoring the game’s deciding touchdown.

Peter Sio, Wilson Football

Wilson running back Peter Sio was the surprise of the evening during the Bruins’ big win over St. Anthony. Sio is a rugby player who’s trying out football for the first time this year, but looked like a seasoned veteran as he had 13 carries for 170 yards and two touchdowns.

Risa Sena, Wilson Volleyball

Wilson junior Risa Sena led her Bruins to a pair of big victories last week, as Wilson took down Poly for the first time since 2011. Sena had a team-high 11 kills and four blocks in that match, and then had team highs for the Bruins in a loss to Lakewood and a win over Cypress.

Laura Williams, Lakewood Volleyball

Sophomore Laura Williams has come up clutch for the Lancers so far this season, and last week she led them to wins over Millikan and over Wilson in a clash of league unbeatens. She had a team-high 11 kills and five blocks against the Bruins.
