PREVIEW: Long Beach State Looks To Keep Historic Start Going Against Weber State

The562’s coverage of Long Beach State athletics for the 2026-27 season is sponsored by Marilyn Bohl.

The Long Beach State women’s soccer team has started the season like no other team in program history.

The Beach (3-0-1) are undefeated in their opening four games and haven’t given up a goal with four straight clean sheets to start the season – which is the first time in program history Long Beach has reached that mark.

It’s the best start of Mauricio Ingrassia during his 23 years at the helm. LBSU is one of six teams in the country that haven’t given up a goal in four games.

Aurora Schuck has been a wall in goal for the Beach with four clean sheets to start the season to go with 11 saves.

Cherrie Cox continues to add to her solid career for Long Beach State as she scored her first career hat trick with three goals in a dominating 5-0 win against Fresno State.

Cassidy Drago and Kailey Supa each scored as LBSU defeated New Mexico State on Sunday.

LBSU will look to continue its hot streak on Saturday when they are back at George Allen Field to take on Weber State at 7 p.m..
