Yesterday was the first tough day of the Fall playoffs for Long Beach, as Long Beach Poly and Compton both bowed out of the CIF-SS flag football quarterfinals to end that sport’s season. Tonight two volleyball teams try to advance to this weekend’s semifinals, as both Long Beach Poly and Millikan will host quarterfinals while Open Division Wilson boys’ water polo opens their playoffs.

Wednesday, October 29

CIF Volleyball 

Division 2: Long Beach Poly vs San Marcos, 6pm

Division 3: Millikan vs. Cypress, 6pm

CIF Water Polo

Open Division: Wilson @ Santa Margarita, 5pm
