The Avalon girls’ volleyball team picked up another sweep victory in the Division 9 playoffs as they traveled to Santa Clara and won in three.

The Lancers will host a semifinal match against Mesa Grande on Saturday as the last Long Beach area team standing in the CIF Southern Section playoffs (Poly will play in the state playoffs in two weeks).

Virginia Soto led the way with 10 kills, 21 assists, and eight digs. Yuliana Vega has 30 digs, while Hannah Hoefs added 11 kills.
