Tincher Claims All-City Division 3 Championship Title Against Robinson

The Tincher girls’ soccer team put it all together from start to finish on Wednesday as they defeated Robinson 6-0 to claim the LBUSD Division 3 title at Long Beach City College.

“I would say they probably played the best that I’ve seen them play,” Tincher coach Kaitlyn Isas said. “A lot of great communication out there and I feel like for the first time they were super hungry and they wanted it.”

Jolaade Aina and Quinn Araneta took turns scoring throughout the game.

Aina scored the game’s first goal to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. Shortly after, Araneta scored to extend the lead to 2-0 as she delivered on an assist from Felicity Cantero.

Tincher continued to put the pressure on as Aina and Araneta’s second goals for the game pushed the lead to 4-0.

Aina continued to pressure the Dolphins, scoring two more times to score a game-high four goals.

In goal, Avery Potter and Olivia Moncure Reyes combined for the shutout.
