The Lancers used a huge third quarter to beat visiting Northview 58-31 on Thursday in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 2A playoffs.
Lakewood (24-5) was up by eight points at halftime and then proceeded to outscore the visitors 21-7 in the third quarter.
Nyemah King scored 14 of her game-high 23 points in the third quarter. Cristina Jones scored 19 points.
The Lancers will visit Xavier Prep (Palm Desert) in the second round on Saturday.
