Things are going to happen fast in this 2023-24 Long Beach high school girls’ soccer season.
The referee situation and shifts in schedules means there will be fewer non-league games before the Moore League starts on Nov. 30. That means a marquee game like when Wilson travels to Long Beach Poly on Dec. 7 will be one of the first games for some players coming back from club commitments.
Defending league champion Millikan is the only Long Beach team in CIF Southern Section Division 1 to start the season. Poly and Wilson are in Division 2.
