HIGH SCHOOL

Xavier Jones, Millikan Football

Millikan senior running back Xavier Jones helped power the Rams to a big win over Jordan. Jones had 18 carries for 151 yards and four touchdowns in a comfortable win for Millikan over the Panthers.

Christian Chapman, Wilson Football

Wilson running back Christian Chapman had an excellent return to the football field as he put up some eye-popping stats for the Bruins against Compton. Chapman had five total touches for nearly 200 yards and two touchdowns.

Kade Casillas, Lakewood Football

Lakewood quarterback Kade Casillas has impressed this year, and looked good in a win over Cabrillo last week. Casillas threw for two touchdowns in one half of work as Lakewood got a big win.

Chloe Pravednikov, Wilson Volleyball

Wilson senior Chloe Pravednikov led Wilson past Lakewood with an absolutely monster night, keeping Wilson as the top challenger to undefeated Poly after the first round of league play. Pravednikov went crazy with 32 kills, 13 digs and 5 aces in the win.

Kennedy Martz, Lakewood Football

Lakewood’s Kennedy Martz had a huge pair of games in a split between Lakewood and Cabrillo. She had four interceptions in the two games and caught a touchdown in the Lancers’ win as well.

Aliya Atkins, Cabrillo Football

Cabrillo’s Aliya Atkins starred for the Jags in their pair of games against Lakewood. Atkins caught both of Cabrillo’s touchdowns in their win over the Lancers.
