CIF Baseball: Millikan Upsets Maranatha On The Road

The562’s coverage of Millikan athletics in the 2022-23 school year is sponsored by Curtis Boyer.

The Millikan Rams went on the road for the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs on Friday and upset Maranatha 3-2.

Millikan senior ace Austin Paul went the distance while scattering five hits and allowing one earned run. He stuck out three and walked one while escaping tough jams in the second and sixth inning.

Cameron Hegamin and Anthony Pack each had two hits at the top of the Rams lineup. Hegamin, Wyatt Ormonde and Anthony Minton had the RBI hits that gave Paul a lead to protect.

Millikan will host Santa Margarita in the second round on Tuesday.
