Curtis Boyer Sponsors Millikan High Coverage For 2022-23

The562 is pleased to announce that our coverage of Millikan High School for the 2022-23 school year will be sponsored by Rams basketball coach and longtime youth sports volunteer Curtis Boyer.

Boyer took over the Rams program in December 2020 and has had a successful tenure thus far, including the school’s deepest-ever run in the CIF State playoffs last year.

“We appreciate all of the time and effort Long Beach’s youth coaches give for the kids in the city, and those coaches are well-positioned to know how much our coverage means to their athletes,” said publisher Andy Kerr. “We appreciate coach Boyer for making our coverage of all of Millikan sports possible.”

Boyer’s sponsorship will help support The562’s Millikan coverage with articles, photos, videos, feature stories, and more.

“The kids love the 562 and all the videos and coverage and I want to make sure they’re around for a long time to come,” said Boyer.

As a non-profit news outlet, The562 depends on reader support and sponsorships in order to cover the Long Beach community. Visit our “562 100” page to see a list of our existing sponsors.
