Aquatic Capital Of America Sponsors The562.org’s Water Polo, Swimming Coverage For 2022-23

The562.org is pleased to announce our latest sport-specific sponsor as the Aquatic Capital of America Foundation has stepped up to sponsor all of The562’s coverage of Long Beach water polo and swimming from now through the 2022-23 school year.

The sponsorship will support our coverage of water polo and swimming at the high school and collegiate level with articles, photos, videos, feature stories, and more.

Long Beach has produced more aquatic athletes, coaches and officials who have become Olympians, World and National Champions, and World and National Record breakers, than any other city in the U.S.A.

“The City of Long Beach has an incredible aquatic tradition and we’re thrilled to have the Aquatic Capital of America on board to support that decorated community together,” said the562.org publisher Andy Kerr.

The Aquatic Capital of America Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was formed in 2008 by long-time resident and sailing enthusiast Tom Shadden and several influential friends. who wished to promote the city as a destination.

“The members of the Aquatic Capital of America work to promote all aquatic activities offered in Long Beach, and to maintain the city’s amazing aquatics legacy by recognizing, honoring and supporting its aquatic athletes, coaches, officials and organizations,” according to its board of directors.

As a non-profit news outlet, The562 depends on reader support and sponsorships in order to cover the Long Beach community. If you’re interested in sponsoring The562’s coverage, or coverage of a specific school or sport, email Tyler@The562.org or visit our Support page to get involved.
