The second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 boys’ water polo playoffs are Saturday and Wilson is hosting Corona del Mar. The quarterfinal game is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Long Beach City College.
Wilson (15-14) edged Santa Margarita in the first round 12-10 to advance. The Bruins reached the Division 1 semifinals last year.
Corona del Mar (21-8) dominated El Dorado 21-7 in the first round. The Sea Kings beat Wilson in all three of their meetings this season by a combined score of 40-30. Their most recent meeting was on Oct. 1 when Corona del Mar won 12-11 in tournament action.
