St. Anthony Sponsors The562’s Coverage of Saints Athletics For 2022-23

The562 is pleased to announce that our coverage of Saints athletics for the 2022-23 school year will be sponsored in part by a donation from St. Anthony High School and some of its donors.

“We absolutely love the coverage that we get from The562 and we’re lucky to have them working in Long Beach,” said St. Anthony athletic director Chris Morrison. “The student-athletes really appreciate the support and we want to help support The562 and the other Long Beach schools as well.”

The sponsorship will support The562’s St. Antony coverage with articles, photos, videos, feature stories, and more.

Currently, St. Anthony football coverage is sponsored by Wasco Development Corp in Honor of B.I. Mais. The girls’ volleyball coverage is sponsored by The Owen Family.

“St. Anthony High School is proud to partner with 562,” said St. Anthony Director of Advancement Renae Waestman-Furlow. “This partnership allows our parents, alums, and donors an opportunity to support their favorite Saints team in highlighting the great diversity of our student-athletes. Our community of Saints is proud of our student’s achievements in the classroom and their respective sports. We are committed to supporting the greater Long Beach community and thank our donors for their partnership.”

St. Anthony was founded in 1920 and recently enjoyed an athletic golden age that included CIF championships for football, girls’ volleyball, softball and others plus a few great postseason runs for basketball and baseball.

As a non-profit news outlet, The562 depends on reader support and sponsorships in order to cover the Long Beach community. Visit our “562 100” page to see a list of our existing sponsors. If you or your business would like to support The562’s coverage of a particular sport, please email Tyler Hendrickson at Tyler@The562.org.
