Long Beach State Men’s Basketball Going To NIT

The season isn’t over.

Despite losing in the Big West Conference Tournament championship game on Saturday, Long Beach State men’s basketball will start the NIT on Wednesday at BYU. This is the Beach’s ninth appearance in the postseason NIT.

The NIT is a 32-team tournament featuring the best teams outside the NCAA Tournament. LBSU lost a thrilling 107-102 first round game at Washington in its last NIT appearance in 2016.

LBSU and BYU will play for the 12th time in history. The programs most recently split a home-and-home series in 2014-15.

The game is at Marriott Center with live coverage provided by ESPN+
