Friday was just another close loss for Long Beach State men’s basketball. The Beach fell to UC Irvine 71-68 in overtime at Walter Pyramid and its the sixth consecutive loss for LBSU that’s come by three points or less.

LBSU junior Chance Hunter drilled a three at the buzzer to force overtime while compiling a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds.

The Beach (5-10, 4-7) and UC Irvine (14-8, 9-4) will conclude Big West play at 4 p.m. on Saturday at Walter Pyramid.
