The Long Beach State and Long Beach City College schedules are full this week.

The Beach is in San Diego for five tournament games over three days. This is the fourth tournament of the season for LBSU, and only the second in California.
Long Beach State Dirtbags vs. No. 6 Mississippi State, 6 p.m.
This might be the biggest college baseball series of the weekend, and it’s happening at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field. Mississippi State (5-1) dropped its first game of the season on Sunday against Oregon State. All-American second baseman Justin Foscue leads his team with 10 RBIs, three doubles and a home run. The series continues at 3 p.m. on Saturday and concludes at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Wilson Girls’ Basketball vs. Eisenhower, 2 p.m.
The CIF Southern Section Division 3A championship game will be at Godinez High this afternoon. Tickets can be purchased at the CIF website. General admission is $15 and students are $5. Parking is free.
Long Beach State Men’s Volleyball at No. 8 UCLA, 5 p.m.
No. 4 LBSU has revenge on the mind tonight at Pauley Pavilion against the No. 8 Bruins. The Beach had beaten UCLA in six straight matches, including the 2018 National Championship, until the Bruins won at Walter Pyramid earlier this month. In that match, junior Simon Anderson and sophomore Shane Holdaway each put down 11 kills.
Long Beach State Men’s Basketball at UC Davis, 5 p.m.
After hosting Cal State Northridge on Wednesday, LBSU hits the road for another important Big West contest with only two more left in the regular season. The Beach fell to the Aggies 85-82 in the middle of January at Walter Pyramid.
Long Beach State Women’s Basketball at UC Santa Barbara, 4 p.m.
This is the last road game of the regular season for LBSU, and the Beach is looking for a repeat performance. A big fourth quarter and a combined 36 points from Justina King and Shanaijah Davison helped LBSU beat UCSB 59-53 at Walter Pyramid two weeks ago.
Long Beach State Women’s Tennis at Hawaii, 1 p.m.
The Beach is on the big island today for Big West Conference play against the Wahine. LBSU will also play Grand Canyon in non-conference action on Friday while in Honolulu.
Long Beach State Beach Volleyball vs. Santa Clara, 9 a.m.
After hosting Vanguard and Concordia earlier in the week, LBSU has a good test this morning against Santa Clara at the sand courts on campus.
Long Beach State Women’s Water Polo vs. Santa Clara, 2:40 p.m.
The Beach will be in Ann Arbor this weekend for the Wolverine Invitational. They’ll face host No. 10 Michigan on Saturday night, but have winnable games against No. 23 Bucknell and Santa Clara today in the last day of action.
