Girls’ Water Polo Preview: Lakewood Lancers

The Lakewood girls’ water polo team is hoping a new-look roster can help them move above last year’s fourth-place Moore League finish, and to improve on last year’s 8-13 overall record.

Returning seniors Jenna Marsha and Morgan Yarak will be captains this year, but the Lancers will feature several starters who moved up from last year’s JV team.

“They’re ready to make an immediate impact on the lineup,” said coach Max Taylor. “Some of our girls have joined club teams in the offseason, and we’re looking to not only continue to learn and grow, but improve our record this season. We’ve put in a lot of hard work over summer and during preseason, and we can’t wait to see where this season takes us.”
