Ryan Pettway, Wilson Football

It was another record-setting night for Ryan Pettway, as he led Wilson to a blowout in the first round of the playoffs. Pettway was 11/12 for 306 yards and six touchdowns, a nearly perfect performance that set a new school record for touchdowns in a single game.

Mehki Jordan, Long Beach Poly Football

Jordan had a legendary night for Long Beach Poly. Trailing late, he led a touchdown drive with less than a minute left, ran the two-point conversion in to send it to overtime, and then scored the game-winning OT touchdown on a run by himself.

Camille Lindsay, Long Beach Poly Cross Country

Freshman Camille Lindsay became the first ninth grader to win a Moore League championship since 2006 last week, easily winning with a time of 17:43, 56 seconds faster than the second-place finisher in the league.

Ronan McMahon-Staggs, Long Beach Poly Cross Country

Poly senior Ronan McMahon-Staggs has been leading the way all year in the Moore League, and he brought home a league championship last week at the league finals. McMahon-Staggs’ time of 15:00 flat gave him his first individual title.

Gray Carson, Wilson Water Polo

Wilson water polo’s Gray Carson had an eye-popping stat line in the Bruins’ blowout second round playoff win last week. Carson had eight goals in the game, which sent Wilson to the quarterfinals, where the Bruins were upset on Saturday.
