PREVIEW: LBCC Football at College of the Canyons

The Long Beach City College football team is fresh off celebrating head coach Brett Peabody’s 50th win with the school, but the Vikings are hoping to have a better celebration tonight as they travel to College of the Canyons.

LBCC (6-2, 3-0) is tied for first place in the conference with Canyons, and a win tonight would guarantee at least a share of a conference championship, with one game left in the regular season. The Vikings have also clinched a postseason bowl berth–a win this week and a win at home next week in the regular season finale would likely put the Vikings in the state playoffs.
