Long Beach Poly (1-1) will face a huge test on the road tonight against 2-0 Serra, as the Jackrabbits will try to pick up a win in advance of next week’s showdown against Corona Centennial.
“We know Serra is a great team with a lot of history and we’re excited to play them,” said Poly coach Stephen Barbee.
Through two weeks, the Jackrabbits’ defense has looked strong at times, while the team’s offense has struggled, scoring just one touchdown in two games. That’s going to be a problem against a Serra team with elite defenders all over the field.
