Long Beach Poly boys’ tennis opened the CIF Southern Section Division 3 playoffs with a 13-5 win over Torrance on Wednesday.

Junior Arkin Verma was the only player to sweep his singles match. The doubles teams of sophomores Kim Phy/Ryan Nguyen and freshman Franco Fratovich/Carlo Reyes also swept.

The Jackrabbits travel to San Juan Hills on Friday for the second round.
