A pair of local youth volleyball players have had quite the summer together. Gabriella “Babi” Gubbins and Kaia Herweg were on the same indoor club team that won a Junior Olympics title in June, and together they won a beach volleyball championship at the OCVolley in Huntington Beach last week. Gubbins, 12, goes to Rogers Middle School, and Herweg goes to Stanford Middle School.
