Tyler Hendrickson was born and raised in Long Beach, and started covering sports in his hometown in 2010. After five years as a sportswriter, Tyler joined the athletic department at Long Beach State University in 2015. The Millikan girls wrestling team finished eighth as a team at the CIF State meet, with 47 total points (Selma won the championship with 142 points). Junior Sierra Adams-Gregory finished third in the 189-pound weight class, Stephany Arriaga was 7th in the 137-pound and Liz Mata was eighth in the 101-pound.
