We went to the last Millikan softball practice on Thursday before the Rams play in their first CIF Southern Section championship game since 2005 and we talked to coach Michelle Lehr, pitcher Victoria Byrum, pitcher Ava Schaffel, catcher Cami Lara, center fielder Erica Estrada, third baseman Ari Ramirez and first baseman Katie Knarr.

The Jackrabbits frosh/soph team wrapped up an undefeated 10-0 football season with a win over Lakewood last week–the first Long Beach team to do so in a decade. Our guys Art O’Neill and John Napalan of All-In Press were there to document the game and we’ve got the photos.
