The562’s coverage of football and Long Beach Poly Athletics for the 2026-27 school year is sponsored by Former Jackrabbits Wendell “WoWo” Moe, Jr. & Tyson Ruffins.
The Long Beach Poly football team has been waiting for the playoffs for a month, and now they’re here. The Jackrabbits (6-4, 4-0) proved to be too much for their Moore League opponents as they outscored them 199-0 in the last four games. Now they’ll face a real test as they enter the playoffs as the No. 15 seed in Division 3.
The Jackrabbits first-round game will be at Norco High on Friday at 7pm as they visit the No. 2-ranked team in Division 3. Should Poly advance, they’d face the winner of Oak Hills and Edison.
Norco is 7-3 with their only losses coming to Division 1 and 2 programs in Santa Margarita, Chaparral and Corona Centennial.
