St. Anthony is still looking for their first win of the season, and they’ll have another chance at it this Friday when they hit the road to face La Salle.
The Saints have had a rough start to the 2026 season with a lopsided 0-6 record. Things have been especially tough on defense, as St. Anthony has had four consecutive games where they’ve allowed at least 35 points.
Most recently, the Saints lost 56-7 to Bishop Alemany in their Del Rey League opener last week. Despite the tough results, there have been moments of success for St. Anthony’s offense, but after only scoring one touchdown against Bishop Alemany, the Saints will try to get back on track vs La Salle.
On the other side of the ball, La Salle is also looking to bounce back this week. The team suffered a brutal 51-3 loss to Crespi which snapped their three-game win streak.
Prior to their loss last week, La Salle’s offense was proving to be a big issue for opponents. The Lancers scored a minimum of 39 points in four of their first five games, and they’ll look to spark that fire again vs St. Anthony.
Historically, the Saints have always beat the Lancers, most recently shutting out La Salle 39-0 in 2025. Both teams are coming off tough Del Rey League losses this year, with Friday’s contest set to be a battle for a victory. Kickoff is set for 7pm.
