Olympic Volunteers Application Window Opens Tuesday

Long Beach sports fans eager to become a part of the LA 2028 Olympics (which will include several events taking place in the city) will soon have a chance to apply to volunteer at the Games.

The LA28 Volunteer Crew application window opens Tuesday, July 14 at LA28.org, at which point fans can fill out the online application to help put the Games on.

Volunteer opportunities will come in eight different categories: communication, ceremonies, driving, operations, experience, sport, medical, and technology. Additionally, volunteer opportunities will exist for those with specific experience and qualifications in doping control, emergency response, language proficiency, medical, and security.

Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of application, be proficient in reading and writing English, and be available for a minimum of 10 non-consecutive shifts of approximately eight hours during the Olympic Games window of March to August 2028 or Paralympic Games window of August to September 2028.

Applications will take about 30 minutes to complete online and can be saved and returned to later. LA28 says no additional preference is given to those who submit their applications on the first day.
