HIGH SCHOOL
Clara Adams, Wilson Track & Field
Clara Adams has been a star for Wilson this year, and she capped off her historic season with a State Championship. Individually, Adams took home gold in the 400m and 200m, while also being a crucial part of the Bruins 4x400m relay who set a national record as a team.
Saniah Varnado, Wilson Track & Field
The Bruins excelled on the track at State Championships, and Saniah Varnado was another big part of Wilson’s success. Varnado took gold with a time of 39.95 in the 300m hurdles — where she broke Olympic gold medalist Lashinda Demus’ 2001 school record of 39.98 that stood since 2001 — second in the 400m and was also part of the champion 4x400m relay team.
Noah Smith, Long Beach Poly Track & Field
Noah Smith was the top finisher for the Jackrabbits at the CIF Track & Field State Championships. The USC commit finished third in the 400m and was the anchor in the 4x400m relay team.
COLLEGE
Anthony Pack, University of Texas Baseball
Millikan baseball alum Anthony Pack had a historic start to his first NCAA Regionals appearance with No. 6 University of Texas. In just six at-bats, the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year hit .400 with four home runs and seven RBIs which included a three-homer game against Holy Cross to set a Texas postseason record.
