The Millikan Rams made a statement on their home court Wednesday night against their rivals from Lakewood, cruising to an 89 -31 victory to remain unbeaten in Moore League play.
“This is a pretty big game tonight, we had a tough loss over the break, so we just wanted to continue with the whole dynamic and get back to that,” said Millikan Coach Stephon Price.
Starting strong, the Rams jumped out to a 25-11 after the first quarter and never looked back. This home team played with lots of energy throughout, especially freshman Quali Giran, who crushed it offensively with a game-high 26 points.
He was one of three 20-point scorers on the night for Millikan, who got 21 from Jeremiah Hunt and 20 from JoJo Wicker.
“We just want to continue to make statements throughout the whole Moore League and just try to play as consistently as possible,” Price added.
Millikan (12-6, 3-0) will be back at home against the Cabrillo Jaguars on Monday, while Lakewood’s (3-16, 0-4) next game will be at home against Wilson on Friday.
