Wilson High is looking for a new boys’ tennis coach after the departure of longtime coach Nick Medina.

Medina resigned before the school year after a decorated career that saw him lead the Wilson boys’ to the CIF-SS championship in 2023 as well as Moore League titles in 2023 and 2024. Medina also led the girls’ team to Moore League titles from 2020-2022 as well as 2024.

“Nick leaves big shoes to fill,” said Wilson athletic director John Janzen. “We are grateful for everything he has given our student-athletes and our school. We wish him the very best in what comes next.”

The Bruins are seeking a new boys’ tennis coach; interested applicants can reach out to Janzen at JJanzen@lbschools.net.

The Bruins filled their girls’ coaching vacancy with longtime Long Beach State tennis coach Jenny Hilt-Costello.
