Compton kept its incredible undefeated season rolling midway through league play on Monday, defeating Compton Early College 32-0. The Tarbabes were led by Ariel Willard, who had three interceptions and a touchdown, while Saniyah Coleman had a pair of pick-sixes to help Compton cruise to the win.
The Tarbabes’ offense started things off with a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter, as Willard and Laila Williams each had a score to put Compton up 12-0. The second quarter then saw three total interceptions, including a pair of picks from Willard and one from Coleman, who returned hers for a touchdown to give Compton a 19-0 lead at the break.
Compton’s offense got things going once again in the second half, as Deavonnie Pack opened the third quarter with a touchdown to extend the lead. Coleman then grabbed another interception and took it back for her second pick-six of the game to open up a 32-0 lead. Compton would seal it in the fourth quarter with interceptions from Willard and Paityne Chandler to secure the victory.
The win brings Compton to a perfect 14-0 overall and 7-0 in league play, while the Tarbabes have outscored their opponents an astounding 374-30. Compton will continue Hub City League play at home against Dominguez on Wednesday.
