The562’s football coverage for the 2026-27 school year is sponsored by Long Beach Poly alums Wendell “WoWo” Moe, Jr. & Tyson Ruffins.
The562 does not do rankings–we prefer to cover the kids and spotlight them than to give our opinions. However, since HSRatings.com’s computer rankings are used to determine CIF-SS playoff brackets, we do consider them newsworthy, in addition to good conversation. Here are where the website ranks all the Long Beach and local teams–you can subscribe to their platform for projections and more.
These rankings are where the local teams fall in the CIF Southern Section, not the state, since it’s the CIF-SS playoff brackets we’ll be interested in to end the season. After the team we’ve included their movement from last week to this week.
