Long Beach Poly Hiring Baseball Coach Following Williams’ Departure

Lakewood just hired a new baseball coach in alum Anthony Razo, and it appears that he won’t be the only new face in the Moore League next year as Long Beach Poly has confirmed they are hiring a new baseball coach as well. The move comes following the departure of coach Soloman Williams after two years coaching the Jackrabbits.

Poly went 32-26 under Williams’ leadership, with a third-place finish in 2025 and a fourth-place league finish this season. The Jackrabbits made it to the CIF-SS quarterfinals last year but fell in the second round this season.Poly returns a good core of talent for 2027 for their next coach. Interested parties should email athletic director Rob Shock at rshock@lbschools.net with a letter of interest, resume, and three letters of reference. Coaches with high school or higher experience levels are eligible to apply.
